In-form Leganes central defender Kenneth Omeruo has honoured coach Mauricio Pellegrino for his upturn of form in the 2018/19 La Liga Santander.
Omeruo, who is on a season long loan to Leganes from Chelsea has become a cornerstone for the Los Pepineros under Argentine gaffer Pellegrino in the Spanish top flight.
The hardworking defender has repaid the faith reposed in him by helping the club keep nine clean sheets in 21 appearances.
“Yes. My game has really improved,” the former Kasimpasa star told Tribalfootball.com.
“I have some private time with the manager (Mauricio Pellegrino) and he explains a lot of things to me.”
“Some mistakes, some corrections about positioning and these have really helped my football. I am happy to be working under him,” the Super Eagles defender added.
Much will be expected of Omeruo in week 29 when Leganes play as guests to Getafe at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez on March 30th.
