Le Havre 1-0 Bordeaux: Maja missing Scoring Boots

Josh Maja was off sorts and Bordeaux not up to par as they fell by a single goal against Ligue 2 leaders Le Havre 1-0 at the Stade Océane on Monday night.

Maja who scored six goals in seven games between September and October, was taken off in the 65th minute as he struggled to hold his own.

He has also not scored in five league games since then, despite starting in all of them.

Bordeaux had previous lost just once in their last seven league games, but a 9th minute Amir Richardson goal was enough to clog their wheels.

Despite finishing the game with 10 men, after the sending off of Quentin Cornette in the 67th minute for a second booking, Girondins Boss, David Guion’s changes made no effect.

But, Les Girondins remain third in the standings and are now seven points off Lavre but two points from second placed Sochaux for an automatic promotion spot.

They’ll return to action on Friday at home in another top of the table clash, when they take on Sochaux.
