The Nationwide League One Super 8 tournament is underway and the eight champions from the NLO that gained promotion to the Nigeria Nation League (NNL) across the country, are competing to determine the overall winner of the NLO Divisions.
Eight champions, the Smart City FC (Lagos State), Madiba FC (Lagos State), FC Ebedei (Ogun State), Police Barretta FC (Gombe), Kun Khalifa FC (Imo State), Aspire FC (Anambra State), Jnr Danburan (Katsina State) and Mailatarki Care FC of the Federal Capital Territory, are clashing horns to determine the Winner of the 2022 NLO season.
The eight teams are divided into 2 groups, Madiba FC, Jnr Danburan FC, Police Baretta Fc and Aspire FC makes up group A, while Smart City FC, Ebedei FC, Mailantarki FC and Kun Khalifa FC make up group B.
The winners of the two groups will face each other in the Finals of the super 8 on Saturday and as it stands Lagos based Club Madiba Fc and Smart City Fc sits top of their respective groups after 2 rounds of football.
Madiba made it two victories from two games when they defeated Police Baretta FC 4-nil to sit top with 6 points, with Jnr Danburan FC and Police Baretta Fc sits second and third on 3 points with Aspire Fc last of group A having won no points so far.
Group B has proven to be more competitive and is still very open heading into the last round but Smart city FC is unbeaten after 2 games and seats Top of group B with 4 points from 2 games and is closly followed by Ebedei FC and Mailantarki FC with 3 points each while Kun Khalifa is last in the Log with just 1 point.
The final round is slated for Thursday with Madiba FC set to face whooping boys Aspire FC, while Jnr Danburan FC and Police Baretta will round up group A.
Group B Is still very much Open with just one point separating the Top 3 Smart City Fc is set to lock horns with Ebedei FC, while Mailantarki will face Kun Khalifa who have given a good account of themselves despite sitting last in Group B.
