NPFL side, Kwara United have announced the return of former boss, Kabiru Dogo back to the club after the resignation of Mohammed Azeez, following the erstwhile Coach’s poor run of results.
Dogo, who was formerly with Wikki Tourists, will resume his new role immediately, after only resigning from his former job a few weeks ago owing to their poor start to the NPFL season.
Kwara United’s 2-0 loss to Nasarawa United on Saturday was the final straw, as he failed to meet the objective of a three-game ultimatum to turn their negative start to the season around.
Before the ultimatum, he oversaw back-to-back draws against Gombe United and Shooting Stars, and then a loss against Bendel Insurance in the third game week of the season.
The Afonja Warriors also lost 3-0 to Enyimba after the ultimatum, but Azeez oversaw a win against Akwa United, but lost to Plateau United and finally Nasarawa United before his removal was announced yesterday.
Meanwhile, Kabiru Dogo is now faced with the task of keeping the team in the NPFL and his first test is to get a win against Remo Stars; turn around the bad run of results.
