Akpoguma Injured in Hoffenheim’s Home Loss

Kevin Akpoguma saw action for Sixty-seven minutes as Hoffenheim lost 1-3 to FC Koln in their 29th Bundesliga game of the season.

Hoffenheim manager, Pellegrino Matarazzo was forced to take off Akpoguma as he could not continue the match due to an injury.

The Nigerian, who had been quite solid on the day was later replaced by Robert Skov in the 67th minute.

The Billy Goats had been without a win in 13 matches against TSG Hoffenheim before the match, and the implication of the 1-3 victory means they have all but secured their top-flight status for next season as they are now 11th on the Bundesliga standings.

Meanwhile, Hoffenheim maintain 14th position on the table, as they continue the fight to secure their Bundesliga status for next season.
