The unstoppable Katsina United U15 trounced Kano Pillars U15 3 – 0 Friday in one of the final matches of the Abuja zone in the going NPFL/Laliga U15 Promises Tourney to emerge Champions of Abuja Zone at the FIFA Goal Project, Abuja.

 

‘The young Changi Boys’ have now qualified to the next stage of the competition haven won all their four matches to top Abuja Zone with 15 points.

Abdulrashid Shehu drew the first blood on 35 minutes from the penalty spot to give Katsina United youth team the lead after Ali Razak was hacked down in the box by Kano Pillars defender.

Aliu Abdulsalam and Aliu Abas got the second and third goal on 55 and 57 minutes respectively to ensure that the Katsina team pick the first out of the two available tickets at the Abuja zone to the next round.

The trio of Katsina United attackers Abdulrashid Shehu, Aliu Abas and Ali Razak topped the highest goal scorer chart with three goals each and there is no gainsaying that these young stars will make a statement if given chance in the National team.

Katsina United qualified along with Lobi Stars who is the runner-up from Abuja Zone, and will now travel to Lagos next week to face other Champions and runners-up from four other zones.
