Germany have called up two Nigerian-born youngsters, Noah Atubolu and Karim-David Adeyemi, to their under-17 national team, ahead of forthcoming international engagements.

Footballlive.ng can report that additional caps are assured for the duo in the coming week, as they are bound to play in upcoming international cadet team matches across Europe.

Atubolu is a goalkeeper with the youth team of SC Freiburg of Germany, while Adeyemi is a striker with FC Liefering of Austria, and they are both bound to add to previous appearances at the German under-16 level.

Adeyemi is returning to the squad after he was left out in October and November, then missed the U17 Algarve Championship last month.

The former Germany under-16 international got involved in three goals for his club in the past five matches of the Austria Liga 2.

On his part, Atubolu has six caps for Germany’s under-17 side, since his debut versus Holland in September 2018.

This season with his club, Atubolu has been in goal for 14 matches in the A-Junioren Bundesliga Süd/Südwest, with a clean sheet to show against Ingolstadt midway through the campaign.
