Kano Pillars forward Nyima Nwangwa says although the team has booked a place on the continent next season, they still want to finish the season on a high.

Nwangwa told footballlive.ng that Pillars will aim to win the Aiteo Cup , a year after a failed bid.

Pillars lost the cup final last season to Enugu Rangers in bizarre circumstances, throwing away a 3-0 lead. The game was finally decided on penalties and the forward  says the team will ensure they get things right this time around.
“It’s going to be a way to say thank you to our fans for their support and everything after all we went through with them last year in the Federation cup final as well as this year losing the league title by a point.
“And for the fact that our opponent have gotten this far, I don’t think it’s a side we can underrate, because for them to have gotten to this final, we have to come out and work hard.”
