Kano Pillars forward Nyima Nwangwa has stated that the club is in desperate need of a trophy and sees the Federation cup as one they must win after their bright start to their Federation cup round of 64 tie against Aspire FC which they won 4-0 in Abuja on Sunday.
Nwangwa who scored a goal in the encounter said the team want to win a trophy for the fans and for themselves because they have been starved of one for a while. He said coming so close last year only to lose against Rangers and this year coming so close to winning the league title only to lose by a point to Enyimba at the recently concluded NPFL Super six is one force driving the team to win a trophy to crown their achievement this season.
“We want a trophy, it’s been a while Pillars celebrate a trophy so we want to win something for the club. The players are also hungry same as the management. We will do everything possible to ensure we end with troohy.”
