Tuesday saw the Nigeria Premier Football League’s first managerial casualty of the season as Wikki Tourists’ head coach Kabiru Dogo resigned from his position.

It was earlier reported that the Wikki Tourists had given Dogo a 2-game ultimatum to turn around their struggles this season after the raw against newcomers Doma United at home, a report the manager debunked almost immediately.

The team began the season with a 2-0 defeat at home to Niger Tornadoes, before losing 2-1 to Dakkada in Uyo the following week. The situation became complicated after the 2-1 defeat to Bayelsa United.

Wikki Tourists will now look to move on and search for a new manager with the hopes of turning around what has been a dismal start to the campaign for them after 4 games.
