Belgian outfit, KAA Gent have signed Nigerian striker, Gift Emmanuel Orban.

KAA Gent announced that they have recruited 20 year-old, who scored 19 goals in 24 club matches last season for Norwegian club, Stabaek ensuring their promotion to the Norwegian first division.

The little-known forward only moved to Norway last year after growing up in Togo and honed his talent in Nigeria before being poached by Stabaek.

Orban helped the club gain promotion to the first division, and will now continue his career in Belgium with Gent.

“We are delighted to welcome a promising talent .We were able to bring him to our club after some tough negotiations. Gift is a flexible attacker who caught our attention during his debut season in Norway. Together with Hein, we have followed him intensively in recent months.”

“Gift is very agile, explosive on the first meters, uses the free spaces smartly and also works hard.

“He has a real eye for goals and combines his torment instinct with good bipedal technique. We look forward to seeing him develop here. He will have the necessary patience and time to adapt to our competition,” Gent chief scout said after completing the deal for the Nigerian.
