The Super Eagles had their first training session, Monday, in preparation for their AFCON qualifiers clash against Guinea-Bissau.
It was a joint session as the Super Eagles trained alongside the Olympic U23 Eagles at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja.
Wilfried Ndidi didn’t train with the team and when quizzed about his absence, Jose Peseiro revealed that the Midfielder was left out as precaution.
The Coach stressed that there is constant communication between his coaching crew and the medical team at Leicester City, and it was the best decision to leave him out of training.
Ndidi has struggled massively with injury throughout the season, also limiting his minutes for Leicester City.
Jose Peseiro will hope Wilfried Ndidi’s discomfort is temporary and that he’d be available for the double-header clash against Guinea Bissau.
