It was another terrible day at the office for Joe Aribo at his Premier League club, Southampton.

Southampton were condemned to another defeat this time by 10-man Wolverhampton Wanderers at the St. Mary’s on Saturday and Aribo only got a bit part in the game.

In a game which had cards flying, Mario Lemina (Wolves) got sent off for a second yellow card for arguing with referee, Jarred Gillet.

A total of 6 yellow cards were issued in the first half alone with Lemina getting two.

Carlos Alcaraz put the Saints ahead in the 24th minute, but it was cancelled out in the second half via a Jan Bednarek own-goal in the 72nd minute.

Joe Aribo was introduced in the 79th minute for their goal scorer, Carlos Alcaraz, to see out the game, but it was not meant to be as a fellow substitute, Joao Gomes (Wolves) made sure the hosts got no point in the game when he netted in the 87th minute.

Aribo has had playing time hard to come by under the new manager, Nathan Jones, even as the team struggles in relegation waters so far this season.
