James Peters calls on fans to tune down expectations

Date:

Former national team handler, James Peters has advised Nigerians to reduce the weight of expectations on the current crop of national team players, as he believes the era of having Nigerian players performing at top clubs across Europe is over.

Fans must therefore accept things the way they are and support the invited players.

In a sit-down with footballlive.ng Samuel Peters emphasized on the need to accept what is available and embrace the set of players we have at our disposal.
He also demanded that more should be done to grow talents at home as it would benefit the national team in the long run.

Fans have earlier expressed dissatisfaction with the list of invited players by coach of the national team, Gernot Rohr, but Peters says he believes the players invited are the best we have now, and he is optimistic that they will deliver.
