Iwobi Labels Himself ‘The Nutmeg Prince’

Arsenal attacker, Alex Iwobi is gloating over rave reviews trailing his thrilling performance for the Super Eagles in Saturday’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Libya, after which he labeled himself ‘The Nutmeg Prince.’

Iwobi hit headlines with a direct assist in Nigeria’s second goal of a sizzling 4-0 win, and provide the pass that made the third goal, as he sparkled in a new playmaker’s role for the squad.

It was a superb follow-up to two sterling outings with Arsenal over the forthnight, in which he also produced captivating nutmegs on opponents in the Europa League and English Premier League.

After dazzling against Qarabag of Azerbaijan in the European second-tier clubs’ competition, Iwobi returned to London to help The Gunners get a stunning 5-1 win away to Fulham at Craven Cottage, where he again left many mouths agape.

On Saturday, Iwobi took his rich vein of form into action with the Super Eagles, as he made up for what was alrgely rated a sordid performance from him at the World Cup.

Iwobi is still basking in the euphoria of his dashing performance against Libya at Godswill kpabio Stadium, where his skills were celebrated by all fans in the stands as well as analysts and teammates, who may now start calling him ‘The Nutmeg Prince.’
