Super eagles midfield enforcers, Alex Iwobi and Wilfred Ndidi, were in action for their respective sides, when Everton FC hosted Leicester City in the Premier League on Saturday.

Iwobi played the entire game for Everton but struggled to influence proceedings for his teammates.

Meanwhile Ndidi was brought on to replace striker Patson Daka in the 71st minute of the game, Kelechi Iheanacho was an unused substitute on the night at Goodison Park.

Youri Tielemans hit a pitch of a belter into the top right corner of Jordan Pickford’s goal on the stroke of half time.

Harvey Barnes would eventually seal maximum points for the visitors, with an 86th minute strike to end Everton’s resistance.

The result leaves Iwobi’s Everton in 15th spot on the Premier League table, while Leicester climb up to 13th position, and out of the relegation zone.

The Nigerian players are expected to suit up for the Super Eagles in an international friendly against Portugal on November 17.
