Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi grabbed a brace of assists in Everton’s 3-0 home victory against Crystal Palace to end a three-game losing streak.

Iwobi took his goal contribution this season to 7 (1 goal and 5 assist) – only Kevin DeBruyne has more assists in the Premier League this season.

For the first assist Iwobi took the ball in his strides down the right hand side and laid it down for Calvin Lewin to put Everton ahead against in the 11 minute.

Anthony Gordon was on hand to tap in Everton’s second after Guaita spilled a Vitali Mykolenko’s shot to the path of the Englishman.

The goal was initially ruled out for offside but was given after it was reviewed by VAR.

For Everton’s third, Iwobi produced a lovely flick to lay the ball into the path of Dwight McNeil – after the Englishman played a lovely one two with the Nigerian following a beautiful run.

The victory moves Everton one place above Crystal Palace in 11th place, although the Toffees have played one game more.
