Iwobi and teammates booed by Evertonians after another horrible outing

Nigerian midfielder Alex Iwobi was on the losing side once again as Everton suffered another defeat English premier league to Burnley on Saturday.

Marco Silva turned to Alex Iwobi in the absent of Theo Walcott and the Nigerian was guilty of missing the Toffees two best chances of the game.

The former Arsenal forward saw his shot deflect narrowly wide of the post via Ben Mee , before he wasted a better opportunity when Matt Lowton produced a last-ditch block from close range.

Burnley struck late in 72nd minutes through Jeff Hendrick’s to heap more pressure on Everton manager Marco Silva at Turf Moor.

Everton now has just one point from four away league games, and slipped to 17th place on the log , one point above the relegation zone.

Embattled Boss Silva, however called once more for patience from the fans , as the team was booed and whistled by the traveling fans .

“It’s important they keep the faith in us,” he started.

“The position in the table is not our image. We had a worse period last season but we reacted strongly. We believe in ourselves and now is the moment to do the same. West Ham at home is now a must-win game.”
