Plateau United Center back Ifeanyi Onyeabuchi leads the scoring chart in the NPFL this season, with four goals in five games, and he has expressed his excitement with his scoring form.
Despite his form in front of goal, Onyeabuchi has watched the team concede eight goals in five games.
However, the CB told FL that starting with the game against Kwara United, Coach Fidelis Ilechukwu’s side will aim to keep clean sheets.
He also maintained that Plateau United remains firm in meeting their Super 6 objective.
“It’s a thing of Joy for me as a center back in five games, I have scored four goals, it’s a thing of Joy and I am happy about it.
“I believe that we are going to work on the defensive lapses in our training sessions, so that in our next game we will be able to get the clean sheet by God’s Grace.
“Kwara United is a big team and you know in the NPFL there is no small team; every team is a big team, and the abridged league is very difficult. We will go out all to play the game and it’s a home game for us, so I believe we will Going to get the victory.”
