It was just Instincts! Ajayi on his Stoppage time goal

Semi Ajayi has described his first goal of the season and admits a CB inside the box during open play was down to just instinct.

Ajayi ran through unmarked to jab home a low cross from Matt Phillips in the third minute of stoppage time.
The CB celebrated widely and even more so because it proved to be the winner.
He said about his goal, “I just had a feeling that Matty would beat his man and get a cross in, so I made sure I got myself into a position where I might be able to score and luckily enough the ball came straight to me.
“It was just pure adrenaline when I scored and ran off celebrating.
“It really is the stuff you dream of. It’s why we play football, for moments like that.
“I’m so happy to have scored the winner in the last minute and I’m so happy for the team because we’ve managed to secure another victory.
“It was a well-earned three points. We weren’t at our best at Peterborough but I’m so proud of the boys for the way they dug in and got the win. We fought right until the end and our hard work paid off.
“We’ve got to keep this going now when we come back from the break.”
