Christian Irobiso played an important role as Farense secured a 2-2 draw against Arouca in the Portuguese Segunda Liga on Sunday, reports Footballlive.ng.
He was a lively presence on the left-hand side of Farense’s 4-2-3-1 formation.
A goal from Irobiso gave the home side a 1-0 lead inside the half hour.
However, Arouca steadily silenced fans inside the Estádio de São Lúis with a fine comeback.
Cephas Malele and William Soares
switched the pendulum in their favour.
Álvaro Magalhães’ side enjoyed by far the better of the play during the latter stages of the contest, and they eventually had their reward in the 79th minute when Alan Junior equalised.
Irobiso was a key man for Farense and one of the game’s outstanding individuals.
The 25-year-old contributed three key passes, two shots on target and contributed three crosses, two of which were accurate.
While the Farense will be delighted with their equaliser, they have now gone three games without a victory and are 14th in the table.
