Bendel Insurance and RS Berkane played to a 2-2 draw in the first-leg of their CAF Confederation Cup second-round clash in Benin City, on Saturday.

Insurance dominated the game from the start and took the lead in the 28th minute when Imade Osarenkhoe scored after RS Berkane’s goalkeeper spilled Benjamin Tanimu’s shot.

RS Berkane equalized through Hamza El Moussaoui 10 minutes later. The score remained 1-1 for the rest of the first half.

Insurance regained the lead with a goal from Vincent Augustus five minutes into the second half.

RS Berkane equalized for the second time in the game in the 83rd minute when Mohamed El Morabit finished a brilliant counter-attacking move.

The teams will face each other again in the second leg at the Berkane Municipal Stadium in Morocco in two weeks’ time.
