Henry Onyekuru suffered an injury in Adana Demirspor’s Turkish Super Lig game against Ankaragucu at the Yeni Adana Stadyumu this weekend.
Onyekuru who has been enjoying a fine goal scoring form with six goals in his previous 16 appearances for the club, pulled up with the injury forcing his early subsitution.
The winger was replaced in the 41st minute of the encounter with the score line still goalless.
His replacement Yusuf Sari broke the deadlock three minutes after the restart, but the visitors drew level through Uros Radakovic in the 61st minute.
The scoreline didn’t remain like so for long and in the 66th minute, Adana restored their lead, Emre Akbaba found the back of the net before Gokhan Inler completed the scoring with a 77th minute strike.
Meanwhile, Vicenzo Montella’s keep pace with the top third placed Istanbul Basaksehir – one point separate the sides.
