Nigerian football fans aren’t particularly patient and so might miss out on seeing the team become successful again, according to former Super Eagles midfielder Patrick Pascal.

Comparing the job security as a Super Eagles coach to similar positions across the continent, Pascal admits it’s a cutthroat situation with Nigeria and there’s a high turnover rate for Coaches.

Speaking with FL, the former player who is now the NT’s coordinator urged that fans be patient enough for long term plans be executed well.

‘Morocco had a long term plan for the development of football in the country and are now looking to host major tournaments in world football.

‘If coaches are given time to settle down and work out a system, it’s beneficial in the long run; just as Senegal are enjoying with Aliou Cisse.

‘Here we complain and force Coaches out. We had a chance to what Senegal are doing with Cisse, with Keshi, but he was gone after the AFCON.’

‘When there’s little or no interference; as even Coaches will need full focus, indeed things can turn around in Nigerian football,’ He stated.
