Ahead of Wednesday’s crunch CAF Confederation Cup first-leg qualifying game against Al Akhdar, Plateau United head coach Fidelis Ilechukwu has stressed that his team will do all they can to get a win.
Plateau United dropped to the second tier of CAF’s Club competition following their elimination from Champions League.
The NPFL side must now overcome Libya’s Al Akhdar in a bid to maintain their continental football status and qualify directly into the group stage of the Confederation Cup.
Ilechukwu has also stressed the importance, he told FL that ,’ the players all know the reason why they were eliminated from the champions league.
‘It was a painful exit for the team, but we have to move on from the set back so as to enable us to focus on next opponents.’
