Heartland FC Head Coach Fidelis Ilechukwu says he’s gradually building a team that can pick a continental ticket ahead of new Nigeria professional football league season.
Ilechukwu who joined the Naze millionaires early this year from Lagos based side MFM FC also admitted that he needs time to deliver a team that can challenge for the title.
“It is a process, surely we will get there and I can assure you that we are building an interesting team,” Ilechukwu told footballlive.ng.
Heartland have recruited some players to strengthened the team and one of the notable signing is Super Eagles goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa who joined from Katsina United.
Ilechukwu is the current assistant coach of the national U-23 team and led his former side MFM FC to the CAF Champions league in 2018 despite their small budget.
