Ikwu Excited With Victory On Recreativo Debut

Date:

Recreativo Hiuelva of Spain defender, Ejike Ikwu says he is excited to get off to a winning start with the club, as he was part of their victory in the fourth tier match against Ejido, footballlive.ng can report.

Ikwu, who starred for the gold medal-winning Golden Eaglets’ squad of Chile 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup, said he was made happier that his side won his first match 1-0 away.

Ikwu took to social media to reveal his deepest thoughts about the team he joined in the past summer, and enthused that he would be able to replicate the heroics former Su[per Eagles striker, Ikechukwu Uche had with the club seven years ago.

The defender, who is on a season long loan deal to Huelva from FC Inter of Enugu, got another angle added to his joy when the club celebrated his debut with a post on their website.

The 19-year-old central defender-cum-full back, who was also a part of the Flying Eagles that failed to qualify for the 2017 African U20 Cup of Nations, after losing at home to Sudan, said he is aiming more exploits.

“I am happy that my team won in my first match, and it was an away match, but we won 1-0,” Ikwu posted.
