FF Malmo of Sweden are reportedly putting pressure on Enyimba of Aba left-back, Ikuowem Udoh Utin to sign the dotted lines with them in the coming month, in order to ward off interest from other clubs.
Footballlive.ng gathered that, while another Swedish club, Ostersunds FK, who recently had former Rangers International of Enugu striker, Alhaji Gero on their cards, are also eyeing Ikuowem, Malmo appear in a better position to hook his signature in the coming month.
Malmo are said to be keen on tying down a deal with Ikuowem before the FIFA U-20 World Cup, as they are of a view his valuation could soar once he gets a solid outing at the competition in Poland.
Though still Nigeria’;s youth team, Flying Eagles’ captain, Ikuowem earlier got action with the home-based Eagles at the Championship of African Nations (CHAN 2018) last year in Morocco, before getting his full senior debut on Tuesday in an international friendly 1-0 win over Egypt.
The youngster’s Aba-based club appear leaning towards an agreement with Malmo, whose offer for the 19-year-old ex-Akwa United of Uyo defender they rate better than that from Ostersunds.
However, while Malmo want to sign him quickly at a cheaper rate before the Youth Mundial in Poland, Enyimba want after the championship, with great expectations of getting a better bargain for him.
