Ike Ugbo could replace Onuachu at KRC Genk

KRC Genk and Chelsea have reached a total agreement for Nigerian attacker Ike Ugbo, who is seen as the short term replacement for Paul Onuachu who is expected to leave the club this summer.

Ugbo is a Chelsea academy product but has failed to break into the first team and has been away on several loan spells.
Last season the forward spent the entire campaign at Cercle Brugge in the Jupiler League and is open to returning to Belgium.
According to reports in England, the 22 year-old has agreed personal terms with Genk and is expected to undergo his medicals ahead of a permanent move from Chelsea.
The European champions have included a sell-on clause in the deal taking Ugbo to Genk, but didn’t negotiate a buyback fee.
So far this season Onuachu has made three league appearances and scored two goals, the latest coming in the 4-0 trouncing of OH Leuven.
Genk have two other Nigerians on their growing squad valued at €128.95m.
Cyriel Dessers and Stephen Odey are in the squad, although only the former has been registered in this season’s campaign.
