Kelechi Iheanacho was handed his first start of the season by Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers in the League Cup game at Stock Port County, Tuesday, but the PL club needed penalties to progress to the next round of the competition.

Iheanacho was handed a rare start in the Cup game, while Rodgers opted to leave his Nigerian compatriot, Wilfred Ndidi on the bench for the entire game.
The Foxes have had a difficult start to the season and it was evident in their play as they labored against the lower division side, despite dominating key stats indexes, all night.
After the regulation time, with the scoreline still goalless, the game was decided on penalties and Iheanacho, surprisingly, wasn’t one of the penalty takers.
Leicester went on to win 3-1, James Madison and Ayoze Perez both failed to convert their kicks though.
