Kelechi Iheanacho was in sterling form for Leicester City, Wednesday, as the Foxes secured a 2-0 victory against Norwich City in their bid to return to the English top flight.

Iheanacho netted his first Championship goal of the season, at Carrow Road, and it came just before half-time.

The goal resulted from a foul on Stephy Mavididi by a Norwich City defender, leading to a penalty awarded by referee Graham Scott.

Angus Gunn got his fingertips on the ball but couldn’t prevent it from finding the back of the net.

In the 68th minute, Iheanacho was substituted for Jamie Vardy, who played a significant role in Leicester’s second goal of the match.

This performance by Iheanacho adds to his growing reputation and contribution to Leicester City’s campaign.

With eighteen points from seven games after the victory, Leicester maintain second place in the league, one point behind league leaders Preston North End.
