Iheanacho on target in Leicester City’s win against Rennes


Wilfred Ndidi impressed at the base of midfield for Leicester City in the Conference League clash on Thursday against Stade Rennais, but it was Kelechi Iheanacho who stole the show.

Leicester took full advantage of the home leg with a comfortable 2-0 win, Iheanacho came off the bench to score and guarantee the win.
The Forward was a second half substitute for Patson Daka with the Foxes a goal ahead from a first-half strike from Marc Albrighton.
Albrighton then turned provider late on for his side’s second goal which was put away by Iheanacho.
Meanwhile, another Nigeria Ademola Lookman saw some action in the game as he came off the bench in the final 10 minutes of the encounter.
Leicester City Boss described the victory as good performance from his players ahead of this weekend’s game against Arsenal.
“I’m very pleased, it was a very good performance,” Rodgers was quoted by the Club’s website.
