Odion Ighalo netted the match winner and his 16 goal of the Saudi Professional Football League season to power Al Hilal to a 2-1 win over Al Ittihad.

Ighalo hit the back of the net in the 68th minute with the scoreline tied 1-1 after the visitors leveled through Haroune Camara to cancel out Salem Al-Dawsari’s penalty in the 16th minute.
There was some drama towards the end of the game after Al-Ittihad FC were denied an equalizer, VAR ruling there was an offside in the build up.
It was a good day in the office for the 32 year-old forward with his fifth goal in as many games for the Blue Waves, who also stretched their unbeaten streak to 8 games.
His goalscoring form and experience were the likely considerations for his inclusion in Nigeria’s 2022 World Cup playoff ties against Ghana.
Nigeria battles Ghana on March 25 and 29 in home and away fixtures in the final qualification phase for the World in Qatar.
