Ighalo Stacking Up Goals in Saudi

Al Wehda forward, Odion Ighalo continued his goal scoring form with another scintillating performance, Wednesday, as his strike helped the team secure a 2-0 win over Al Orubah in the Saudi Arabia King Cup round of 32 match.

Ighalo, 34, has been in impressive form since the start of the season, registering 6 goals in 6 appearances for Al Wehda.

 

With his goal in the encounter, the Nigerian has now scored in three consecutive games for his club.

He scored the opening goal to break the deadlock in the 76th minute of a difficult encounter. While midfielder, Nawaf Al Azizi secured the victory with a goal in the 89th minute.

Up next for Al Wehda is a round of 16 clash with Al Taawon on October 30.

In the current Saudi Arabia Professional League season, Ighalo has netted 5 goals in his first 5 appearances, contributing to his club’s impressive 7th position on the table with 12 points after 7 rounds.
