Odion Ighalo was in sterling form for Al Hilal as he scored four goals in his side’s 7-0 annihilation of Al-Duhail in the semi-final tie of the Asia Champions League.
Odion Ighalo and Moussa Marega ran riot for the Saudi Arabia outfit, with the latter scoring twice and Salem Dawsari hitting the target in the brutal annihilation to set up a meeting with Japanese side, Urawa Reds, the third time in six years.
The two will slug it out in a two-legged final scheduled for April 29 and May 6.
With only 90 seconds into the game, Ighalo gave Al Hilal the lead, Mohammed Kanno’s tenacity set up the striker for a headed goal.
Odion Ighalo scored his second in the 10th minute of the encounter after he forced a safe from goalkeeper Salah Zakaria just five minutes earlier.
He made sure to punish the goalkeeper after being released down the right-hand side by defender Jang Hyun-soo.
Three minutes after the break, Ighalo completed his hat trick by clipping the ball over Zakaria to guarantee that Al Duhail don’t find a way back.
Then, in the 62nd minute he scored his fourth goal, finishing off Abdullah Al Hamdan’s cut-back to cement the big victory and keep Al Hilal on course to win back-to-back championships for the first time since Al Ittihad in 2005.
