Date:

Former Giwa FC defender, Ifeanyi Anaemena believes the CAF Confederation Cup draws that took place on Monday which saw Enyimba International having to face Rayon Sports of Rwandan over two legs in the quarterfinals was fair to the People’s Elephant.

Speaking exclusively to www.footballlive.ng Anaemena said, “I think the draw was fair to us and going away first is a major advantage as we hope to wrap up the tie in the first leg in Rwanda thereby making the second leg a mere formality.”

On how far he thinks Enyimba International can go in the competition, the defender said, “We are determine to go far in the competition but we need to cross the quarterfinals hurdle first and then the semifinals before we can talk about fight for the trophy. So our focus right now is to defeat Rayon Sports in the quarterfinals.”

The winner between Enyimba International and Rayon Sports will face either CARA Brazaville or Raja Casablanca of Morroco in the CAF Confederation Cup Semifinal.

First leg of the CAF Confederation Cup quarterfinal is scheduled to hold between the 14th-16th of September while the return leg billed for between the 21st-23rd September.

The question on every Nigerian lips is that, can Enyimba International break hoodoo to before the first Nigerian team to win the CAF Confederation Cup?
