Ghana Black Galaxies captain, Danladi Ibrahim, insists the team deservedly beat their Nigerian counterparts to the African Nations Championship ticket and.dismissed insinuations that they were lucky.
The black galaxies won the tie 5-4 on penalties as the game ended 2-2 in 180 minutes over two legs.
With majority of Nigerian fans claiming that penalties are a game of luck, Danladi Ibrahim suggested that his team rather worked and deserved it.
Danladi also suggested that his team prepared better than the B Eagles, highlighting their training tour of Austria ahead of the CHAN 2023 playoff qualifiers.
Ghana would make a return to the African Nations Championship, after missing out on back to back editions.
The Black Galaxies piled on Nigeria’s misery at the MKO Abiola Stadium, as they were earlier in the year, also denied a ticket to the World cup by their West African arch rivals.
