I hope my Story Inspires NPFL Players – Lokosa

Date:

Pillars Attacker Junior Lokosa says he hopes his story motivates aspiring footballers and even NPFL players after he picked up a ₦3.8 million cheque for finishing as top scorer of the 2018 NPFL season.

Lokosa scored 19 goals in 24 league matches last season and set a record of the most goals scored half way through.

In his remarks, the Kano Pillars player said he started the season without a specific goals target, but insists he knew he needed to work hard to stay at a top side like Pillars.

The same season he earned his first national invitation and debuted in the friendly against DR Congo in June.

‘At the end of the day, none of these was planned, I thank Eunisell for the recognition, and more so that this will inspire any kid looking up to becoming a professional footballer.

‘I’m sure this gesture by Eunisell will surely inspire players in the NPFL to want to step up the plate, definitely,’ said Lokosa.
