Top players agent and President of FC Ebeide FC, Churchil Oliseh has said the recent honouring of Class of 94 Super Eagles by the Nigeria Football Federation is good PR for Nigeria.
Several major actors were crowned by the NFF last week at Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos, with several dignitaries from Government, FIFA and CAF in attendance.
Churchil Oliseh, elder brother of ex Eagles Captain and coach Sunday Oliseh told Footballlive.ng that several Nigerian players in diaspora and those itching to move abroad for professional football would realize that there is honour representing Nigeria at international level through the open appreciation.
“The truth is that not all Nigerian players are aspiring to play for the country. Several players fear that they would be maltreated as it were with some previous ones. Some simply want to play club football abroad and make money. But the honouring of 94 Eagles is good PR and fine marketing of image of Nigeria. It was a rare opportunity to market Nigerian football and the country generally, Oliseh said. Oliseh who is seeking better welfare packages for players at both clubs and national team levels.
He also warned teams against hasty preparations, adding that “it takes a long time for a team to blend, so when you prepare for just a season you are preparing to fail”.
