Home based players good enough for Super Eagles – Elahor

Ex Green Eagles Player, Friday Elahor has called on the handlers of the Super Eagles B to work harder on the players heading into the 2019 WAFU Cup of Nations, which begins on Sunday.

Elahor told Brila.net he was surprised by the first-leg result of the 2020 CHAN qualifiers game against Togo, but, remains optimistic that the players can turn the result around.

“The coaches need to be focused and work hard to get the best out of these players, people are saying the home based players can’t make the national team, but I disagree.

“We still have good players even though the league is not living up to expectation; we still have good players.”

Nigeria’s 2019 WAFU campaign gets underway against Togo on 29th September 2019.
