Kylian Mbappe became Paris Saint-Germain’s all-time record goal scorer after he sealed his side’s win against Nantes in the Ligue 1 match on Saturday.

Mbappe scored the fourth goal as PSG beat the visiting Nantes 4-2 at Le Parc des Princes, his 18th goal of the season and his 201st overall for the club.

The 24 year-old just edged past Edison Cavani’s record for the most goals scored for the Parisien club.

The French international joined the club in 2017, however, on an initial loan deal before it was made permanent for a €180million fee to AS Monaco.

On Saturday night, Lionel Messi opened scoring for the host in the 12th minute and PSG went two goals up five minutes later and fortuitously too, after 19 year-old Jaouen Hadjam, turned the ball into his own net.

However, Nantes responded as Ludovic Blas (31′) halved the deficit, then in the 38th minute Cameroon’s Ignatius Ganago leveled to tie the game going into the break.

After the restart, PSG were back in front through Danilo Pereira who made it 3-2 on the hour mark. That led to Mbappe’s moment which came in the first minute of added time to complete the dominance.

Meanwhile, Moses Simon came off the bench in the 70th minute, but the inclusion didn’t do much for Antoine Kombouare’s side.

Nantes are now three games without a win in the League and are 13th on the table, but just 7points from safety.
