Nigerian winger Henry Onyekuru was missing once again in Monaco’s Ligue 1 victory over Strasbourg at the Orange Velodrome on Sunday.
Leonard Jardim’s side secured the hard fought 3-2 win over their opponents without Onyekuru who joined the Club after a successful loan spell with Turkish side Galatasaray last season.
The Nigerian has continued to be a periphery figure at the French side, as injury, loss of form and lack of faith from his manager has denied him game time.
The former Eupen forward has been linked to potential January return to Galatasaray where he won the Turkish league and cup last season and scored 17 goals in total.
In Onyekuru’s absence Wissam Ben Yedder scored twice, with another one from Algerian forward Islam Slimani handed Monaco the slim win.
