Heerenveen Manager, Johnny Jansen is surprised that new kid on the block Chidera Ejuke has not been considered for an invitation into the Super Eagles.
Ejuke has been been impressive for the Club in the Dutch topflight this season, and Jensen believes he’s good enough to earn a place in the Super Eagles.
The 21-year-old Forward has scored seven league goals in 15 appearances for Heerenveen and was invited to the U-23 team, but Jansen expressed shock the player hasn’t been handed his full international cap.
”I was surprised he didn’t get call up to main team of Nigeria. You have to ask the coach why because he did enough to get a look in.
“However, we rejected the chance for him to join U23. He’ll no doubt become a senior international in the nearest future,” he added.
Ejuke, who played for Gombe United in the NPFL joined Heerenveen back in July 2019 for a transfer fee in the region of 2 million euros.
