Super Falcons and Barcelona Feminine star, Asisat Oshoala was delighted with Nigeria’s 2-0 win over Haiti on Friday.

The victory was part of Nigeria’s preparation for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

Friday’s victory was a significant one, and the second consecutive win for the team; a milestone that Oshoala believes can be consolidated prior to the World Cup.

“I think I feel happy, the team is progressing as we are all trying to work towards the World Cup. The team is still coming up, the building process is continuous, and we’ll keep working hard until it becomes a reality,” She said.

The Super Falcons will be back in action, Tuesday, when they play New Zealand, and Waldrum will be looking to make it a stretch of three victories on the bounce after they had endured a poor run of results prior to their win over Costa Rica.
