Nigeria U17 midfielder Ibrahim Said has been nominated for the goal of the tournament award at the just concluded 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Brazil.
Said’s 84th-minute strike in the Eaglets 3-2 win over Ecuador in a Group B game is one of ten goals shortlisted by FIFA.
The Dabo Babes Academy midfielder scored Nigeria’s second goal with a superb curling effort from the edge of the area.
Also nominated are; Brazil’s Gabriel Veron, who won the most valuable player prize of the competition.
Golden Boot winner Sontje Hansen from Netherlands, France’s Nathaniel Mbuku and Diego Duarte.
Others are; Diego (Brazil) Matias Godoy (Argentina), Degnand Gnonto, Gaetano Oristanio (both Italy) and Santiago Munoz (Mexico).
Voting ends next week Monday and the winner will be announced same day by FIFA.
