Goal for Simon but 3 points for Moffi, Bonke in Ligue 1 clash

Moses Simon got his third goal of the season, but it wasn’t enough to earn Nantes a point in the Ligue 1 clash against FC Lorient.

Simon also featured for the entire minutes, in his first full game since returning from a brief injury spell.

The Winger deflected a shot from a teammates shot to beat Lorient’s goalkeeper.

However, Nantes lost 3-2 although they had scored first through Ignatius Ganago in the 13th minute.

Dango Ouattara leveled up the score line six minutes later and in the second hald Lorient shot ahead through Yoann Cathline (60′) before Ibrahima Kone’s impressive goal in the 74th minute.

Nantes response would come from Simon’s goal in the 85th minute, but, the hosts held on to pick maximum points and stretch their run of wins to three games.

Meanwhile, both Terem Moffi – Lorient’s top scorer this season – and midfielder Innocent Bonke both started for their side, but were replaced in the 57th and 73rd minutes respectively.
