Give Super Falcons Time – Odey

Former Super Falcons head coach, Rowlandson Odey has urged fans to be patient with the current team and the Coaches.

Odey implied that the team is work in progress at the moment, as they are in a transition period of busing for the future.

The gaffer suggested that it would take some time to get things right, even if the goals don’t come yet, he expressed confidence that things will definitely improve in the nearest future.

On the replacement of veteran players in Falcons, Rowlandson Odey admitted that the present crop of players are way past their prime, and are fizzling out gradually.

‘These senior players though, are still the best around, and the younger ones, who earned recent invitations, will need that guidance so the transition is smooth and the integration can be seamless,’ the Coach told FL.

The Super Falcons have lost the first of two friendly games scheduled against the USWNT.

A 4-0 defeat against the world Champions on Saturday, marker the team’s return to action since the WAFCON tournament.

On Tuesday, Randy Waldrum will lead his team out again, hoping to have made amends from the previous defeat, when they face the US team again.
