Gift Orban helped his side, KAA Gent, to a 1-1 draw against West Ham in their first-leg, quarter final UEFA Europa Conference League match, on Thursday.

Orban put on show an impressive performance to ensure the hosts remained in the contest, heading into the second leg.

In the 63rd minute, Orban unleashed a rasping drive from around 30 yards, but it went wide.

The forward got another opportunity to grab the game’s winning goal in the 82nd minute, but his bicycle kick came off the the crossbar, with the West Ham goalkeeper well beaten.

Orban played for 83 minutes before he was replaced by Belgian midfielder Matisse Samois.

Although the young Nigerian did not score, he caused the West Ham defence a lot of problem all through the night.

Orban would be looking to replicate the performance and more when the sides clash again in the return leg, at the London Olympics Stadium, next week.

It will be the youngster’s audition for a Premier League move ahead of what promises to be an interesting summer for him.
