Ghana hatch strategic moves against Nigeria… Black Stars’ coach Addo to call up Exciting Youngsters for World Cup Playoffs

Ghana’s preparation for the two-legged World Cup playoff clash against Nigeria is gradually picking up pace with reports that interim head Coach Otto Addo could name his Black Stars squad for the encounters this week.

Addo is expected to blood a handful of debutants including AS Roma’s Felix Afena-Gyan, Elisha Owusu who plays in the Jupiler League for K.A.A. Gent and Bristol City’s Antoine Semenyo.
There could be as many as 8 new players invited to the squad, following Ghana’s poor AFCON campaign where they were knocked out in the group stages.
Casualties from that ill-fated AFCON title hunt includes Addo’s predecessor Milovan Rajevac and their inspirational captain Andre Ayew who will be serving a suspension.
As per the ex-Ghana international will hand debut invitations to eight players for the two matches…The Black Stars list is expected to be announced later this week.
The two legs will be played over a four-day period between the Cape Coast and Abuja. Ghana will host the first-leg at the Cape Coast Stadium on March 25 while Nigeria welcomes their arch rivals to the Moshood Abiola Stadium on March 29.
Winner of the tie will progress to the 2022 FIFA World Cup as one of Africa’s five flag-bearers at the tournament.
