KRC Genk have replaced Paul Onuachu with another Nigerian striker, Tolu Arokodare.

Onuachu completed a move to Southampton on the final day of the winter transfer window for €18million.

In a matter of hours, after the deal was completed, the Belgium club announced that they have recruited the 22 year-old striker on a 4-and-a-half-year deal until 2027, from Latvian club Valmiera FC.

Arokodare spent two years on loan at French Ligue 2 side, Amiens SC, making 50 league appearances for the club and scoring 13 league goals.

He would be a direct replacement for new Southampton striker, Paul Onuachu, who made the switch to England on winter transfer deadline day.
